In my interview today with Dick Cheney, the former vice president takes aim at Obama’s economic program, calling it “a vast expansion of the federal government over the private sector that will do long-term damage to the country.” But he also acknowledges that the Bush administration’s launching of TARP and the GM bailout were not well thought out. He’s surprised at the degree to which Congress is taking control over the banks, GM, and other areas of the economy.
